Sharath Jeevan is one of the world’s leading experts on how to practically re-ignite the inner-drive (or intrinsic motivation) in our lives, and particularly our working lives.  He is the founder of Intrinsic Labs. The Lab solves important motivation-based problems for partners through a consulting and coaching approach.  This helps organisations truly achieve their desired strategy and outcomes, through ensuring deep and authentic employee and stakeholder engagement.

He gained first-hand experience in the field through founding STiR Education in 2012. STiR represents the world’s largest initiative to improve intrinsic motivation – in this case in education. Through partnerships with governments and leading donors, it has grown from supporting 12 schools in 2012 to over 35,000 schools today, across India, Africa and South East Asia. 

Prior to STiR, Sharath was the Founding CEO of Teaching Leaders (now Ambition School Leadership), an innovative UK-focused education leadership organisation.

He held senior corporate roles at management consultants Strategy & (formerly Booz & Co), and at eBay. He first cut his entrepreneurial teeth as one of the founding team of ContactDetails.com, a social network that preceded Facebook.

Sharath lives in North East London with his wife and two young boys. He loves reading the latest ‘smart-thinking’ books, and is a serious (early morning) tennis player.  Thank goodness we are virtual this year; otherwise we might have lost him to Wimbledon ….
